The exhibition shows four computer music compositions by Ville Pulkki from 1991–2018: three different versions of binary sequences, and one of the simplest fractals, Koch snowflake, mapped into music and visuals.
The exhibition puts forward a participatory approach to site-specficity within the Maarintie 8 building. The project began with a request to those working in the building: could they suggest a site of significance in the wider Uusimaa region? Significance could comprise diverse meanings: it could indicate a place that might be ingrained in their memory or routine, or a place of appreciation or aversion.
An art project Social Fabric of Migration by Varvara Zhemchuzhnikova, a textile artist and designer who graduated from the Fashion and Collection Design programme at Aalto University in 2017, was exhibited in the Harald Herlin Learning Centre on May 5 – May 26, 2017.
On September 16-30, beta SPACE is hosting two artworks by ViCCA Master student Jaakko Leeve: an installation Creative Destruction and a ryjiy graffiti. Conceptual installation has been created specifically for the exhibition, and the process was documented with photos that are part of the installation.
