Light vibes is a light art installation that reacts to movement. It communicates the key themes of the School of Electrical Engineering and is located on the ceiling of the main entrance to the building. The artwork, which has been built using fibre optic cable and 3D-printed cases of led lights, forms a network on the ceiling, in which light directed by programmed microcircuits moves delicately in wave-like forms depicting the movement of electromagnetic waves.
The work originates from a course Electronic Art in Public Space held in Aalto University.
